AUTOCOVERS

Why won't my autocover open or close?

First, if you can't hear the autocover running, check the circuit breaker to make sure it hasn't been tripped

When the autocover is running but having trouble moving, check to make sure there is no water on the cover or rolled up in the box. If it is too heavy with water, it will be difficult to pull in the tracks.

Check the water level in the pool.  If the water level is low, add water through the skimmer opening until it reaches it's normal level.

Next, check to make sure it is not stuck to the deck surface.

If the above scenarios are not the case, the motor could need service.

Why is my autocover opening and closing unevenly?

If your autocover is opening and closing unevenly, there is a problem with the ropes. The ropes could be uneven, there could be extra rope around the reel, or the ropes could be too loose.

Why isn't my autocover working smoothly?

If your autocover isn't working smoothly or evenly, something may be causing friction within the operation.

  • Check that the cover is not stuck to the decking,

  • Clear debris from the box/tracks/cover

  • Check for properly functioning brakes

  • Look for any sharp edges that the cover could be getting snagged

  • Check the pool water level
